Barnett Campaign TV Spot
In a four-round advertising campaign on behalf of the Joint Association Coalition, the Foundation has run this television spot on Time-Warner cable in the Barnett Shale (DFW) area. The spot has run in slots on major cable channels, including Fox News Channel, CNBC, CNN Headline News and MSNBC. This significantly expanded the reach to the general public, generating nearly 1.2 million "household impressions" during a 4-week period. The Foundation has just conducted a multi-wave, Barnett Shale multi-media campaign, focusing on the economic benefits of oil and gas production to Texas citizens, while paying $8.5 billion in state and local taxes and royalties, and creating 315,000 high-paying jobs. MOLU schedule gearing up for 2012
The Foundation, in partnership with Offshore Energy Center (OEC), has just completed its fifth week-long trip of the Mobile Oilfield Learning Unit (MOLU), this time to schools in the Wichita Falls/Graham area. The sixth and final MOLU visit will begin shortly, to schools in the Abilene area. Thousands of students use the MOLU to gain knowledge of geology and oil and gas operations. Already, for 2012, the Foundation plans to sponsor MOLU trips to Dallas/Fort Worth, Corpus Christi/San Antonio, Tyler/ Kilgore, Wichita Falls/ Graham/Breckenridge and Abilene. One or two extra visits may still be added for next year. |
